How to Stop Casino Pop-ups in Chrome, Safari, Edge & Firefox?

Casino pop-up here, notification there. Sometimes they are useful, but even more often they distract you. The solution: block them at casinos so they only show up when you really need them. This is how you stop casino pop-ups in the most commonly used browsers Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. However, not all casino pop-ups contain advertising or spam, for example, some casinos notify you when they release a new game or bonus. You probably gave permission for this yourself at some point.

In other cases, casinos don't work properly when you block pop-ups. To troubleshoot a specific website, add its URL to a whitelist, while blocklisting all other sites for pop-ups.

Block Casino Pop-ups in Chrome

Open Google Chrome. Go to ‘Settings' and open ‘Privacy & security'. Under ‘Site settings', tap ‘Pop-ups and redirects'. Under ‘Default behavior', select the check box for ‘Do not allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects' to block all pop-ups.

Do you want to give some casinos permission to send a pop-up? Under ‘Custom behavior', press the second ‘Add' button. Enter the URL of the site here. Do this for each casino you want to receive notifications from. If you allow them in general and only want to block them on certain sites, allow casinos to send pop-ups and add the URLs in the first ‘Add'.

Block Casino Pop-ups in Safari

Open Safari on your Mac or MacBook and open ‘Settings' via ‘Safari' in the top bar. Go to ‘Websites' and scroll down in the left menu. Click on ‘Pop-up windows'. Next to ‘When visiting other websites' there are three options. Choose ‘Block and inform' if you want to control whether or not you allow pop-ups for that site via a button in the search field. If you want to block all pop-ups, choose ‘Block' and to allow everything choose ‘Allow'.

To exclude certain casinos, surf to those websites and open the pop-up settings again. Next to each open website, select whether or not you want to allow notifications.

Stop Casino Pop-ups in Edge

Open Microsoft Edge and click the three horizontal dots in the top right corner. Click ‘Settings' and navigate to ‘Cookies and site permissions'. Under ‘All permissions', open ‘Pop-ups and redirects'.

Make sure ‘Block' is turned on to avoid pop-ups. When the browser blocks a pop-up, a message will appear in the address bar. Click here to allow notifications from the current site.

Control Notifications in Firefox

Open the Firefox browser and navigate to ‘Settings' via the three horizontal lines in the top right corner. Click on ‘Privacy & Security'. Scroll down until you see the heading ‘Permissions'.

Check the box next to ‘Block pop-ups' to avoid all notifications, or enter the address of a site from which you want to allow pop-ups and press ‘Allow'. Once you have added all the sites, click ‘Save changes'.

Still Bothered by Casino Pop-ups?

Have you disabled pop-ups in your browser, but the notifications still appear? Then scan your PC for malware. If this is not detected, disable browser extensions to see if this fixes the problem.

If so, re-enable the extensions one by one to find out which one is the culprit. Other options include blocking third-party cookies or clearing your browser cache.
